Hi! I'm an electronic engineering and artificial intelligence graduate with experience in Machine Learning. I'm particularly interested in computer vision and natural language processing, two areas that I believe will greatly improve quality of life and access to knowledge. However, I have knowledge of electronic systems, embedded programming and control systems too. I mainly work in MATLAB, Python and C++.

Education and Experience

MEng Electronic Engineering - University of Southampton

Master's Thesis: Trend detection at scale. This was a research project which focussed on detecting trends in time series data for a professional client. Linear Regression, the Mann-Kendall test with the Theil-Sen method and Bayesian Online Change-Point detection were three of the methods that were most effective.

Bachelor's thesis: Improving wireless communications with Artificial Intelligence. I trained a Neural Network with reinforcement learning to decide on modulation schemes based upon channel interference parameters.

Master of Artificial Intelligence - Katholieke Universiteit Leuven

Thesis: Exploiting Spatial Relations with Transformers. This was a research project looking at whether transformers could recognise spatial relations and context when detecting objects in an image. I fine-tuned the DETR model using pyTorch and cuda, before testing this on synthetic images and bounding boxes that were generated using OpenCV. You can find the final thesis pdf and the code I used at this GitHub Repository

1 year, 3 months of professional experience in industrial AI for computer vision.

Worked with Python and C++ on real-time computer vision systems in production.
